Co-localização de diferentes tecnologias wireless no mesmo site

Abstract

Com a constante evolução e sofisticação da gama de serviços, os operadores de telecomunicações têm desenvolvido investimentos no sentido de conjugarem na mesma infra-estrutura diferentes tecnologias, facilitando assim a implementação da rede e a manutenção dos sites. A partilha do mesmo site por diferentes tecnologias ou mesmo diferentes operadores de telecomunicações traz inúmeras vantagens económicas, contudo, tecnicamente a co-localização de diferentes tecnologias rádio no mesmo espaço levanta uma série de questões que devem ser consideradas na implementação do site. É o objectivo desta dissertação efectuar o levantamento destas questões de forma a sensibilizar para a necessidade de criar recomendações e normas para a boa instalação de um site com diferentes tecnologias co-localizadas.

ABSTRACT: With the constant growing and sophistication of the portfolio of services, mobile operators have been developing investments in order to conjugate different technologies in the same infrastructure, thus facilitating the implementation of the network and the maintenance of the sites. The sharing of the same site by different technologies or even different mobile operators brings many economic advantages, however, technically the colocation of different radio technologies in the same location raises several questions that should be considered when the site is being implemented. The aim of this dissertation is to collect the questions and raise people’s awareness toward to create recommendations and regulations for the good installation of the site with different co-located technologies.
