Abstract: Thermal diffusivity of silver nano-fluid synthesized using radiation technique at a concentration of5.889 × 10−3M and irradiated with -radiation at different doses was measured. The measurements wereperformed by thermal lens method. A diode laser ( = 532 nm) was used as an excitation beam while aHe–Ne laser beam ( = 632.8) was utilized as a probe beam. The thermal diffusivity of Ag nano-fluidsamples measured at room temperature increase with the increasing nanoparticles size ranging from44 nm to 64 nm. A similar behavior of nonlinear refractive index measured using a single beam z-scanare presented and discussed.
