Manual de português L2 para alunos surdos: um contributo para o sucesso

Abstract

O diploma legal de 7 de Janeiro veio legitimar a filosofia bilingue que reconhece o direito à diferença para a educação de alunos Surdos. Este instituiu a criação de Escolas de Referência para a Educação Bilingue de Alunos Surdos (EREBAS) e determinou a introdução de áreas específicas no currículo dos alunos Surdos no 1.º Ciclo de Ensino Básico: Língua Gestual Portuguesa (LGP) como primeira língua (L1) e Português como segunda língua (L2). Em 2011 homologou-se o Programa de Português Língua Segunda (PL2) para Alunos Surdos e ficou explícito que a LGP deve ser a primeira língua dos alunos Surdos. Assim, a Língua Portuguesa funcionará com língua de acesso a tudo o que envolve estes alunos e o ensino desta segunda língua deverá basear-se em propostas significativas, que vão ao encontro das especificidades destes alunos. Contudo, e apesar de todos os avanços na Educação de Surdos, continua a verificar-se, no nosso país, uma falta de recursos para trabalhar em contexto sala de aula com estes alunos. Urge portanto criar Manuais Escolares que sirvam a disciplina de Português L2. Apresentamos assim uma Proposta Editorial de um Manual Escolar destinado a alunos do 1.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.

The legal document of January 7th legitimized the bilingual philosophy that recognizes the right of a different education of Deaf people. It determined the creation of Reference Schools for Bilingual Education of Deaf Students and the introduction of specific areas in Deaf student curricula in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education: Portuguese Sign Language (PSL) as the first language (L1), and Portuguese as the second language (L2). In 2011 the Portuguese Second Language (PL2) to Deaf students program was approved, and it became clear that PSL should be the primary language to Deaf students. Thereby, Portuguese Language will work as the access language to everything involving these students, and the teaching of this second language must be based on significant proposals that meet their specific needs. However, and despite all the progress made in the education for the Deaf in our country, there is still a great lack of resources to work with these students in the classroom. Thus it is urgent to create Schoolbooks that help in the learning of Portuguese L2. It was in this logic that we decided to present an editorial proposal of a Schoolbook for Deaf Students of the 1 st grade of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education.
