O sentido de comunidade nas interacções colaborativas on-line

Abstract

O presente relatório de dissertação visa descrever o desenvolvimento de um estudo sobre os principais factores que mais condicionam o sucesso e a manutenção de comunidades de aprendizagem em ambientes virtuais, no âmbito de cursos de ensino superior, sustentados por uma estratégia pedagógica combinada (blended-learning). As intenções deste estudo vocacionam-se no sentido de identificar e testar os agentes mais determinantes na conquista do sentido de comunidade que, segundo Swan (2002), constitui o “motor” do desenvolvimento da confiança e satisfação entre os participantes. Tal como nos estudos de Rovai (2002) a avaliação do sentido de pertença numa comunidade de aprendizagem colaborativa, assume neste estudo um papel central. E é com base em estudos semelhantes, presentes na literatura científica neste campo, que se procura medir entre os três tipos de interacção de Moore (1989) - cit. in Swan (2002) os indicadores das respostas de presença social mais representativos da realidade observada, e que permitiram definir estratégias de e-moderação passíveis de serem reutilizadas e analisadas em estudos futuros.

ABSTRACT: The present dissertation report aims at describing the development of a study on the main factors that condition the success and maintenance of learning communities in virtual environments, in higher education courses, supported by a combined pedagogical strategy (blended-learning). The intentions of this study are grounded on the need to identify and test the most determining agents in the conquest of a sense of community that, according to Swan (2002), constitutes the “engine” of the development of confidence and satisfaction between the participants. As in the studies of Rovai (2002) the evaluation of the sense of belonging in a collaborative learning community, assumes in this study a central role. And it is on the basis of similar studies, present in the scientific literature in this field, that we try to measure between the three types of interaction proposed by Moore (1989, cit. in Swan, 2002) the indicators of the more representative responses of social presence of the observed reality, which allowed us to define e-moderation strategies capable of being reused and analyzed in future studies.
