Museografando o museu através do design

Abstract

Atualmente é fundamental articular a ideia de cultura como elo de ligação entre a escola e o museu. As novas tendências pedagógicas, que incidem em ideias como a comunidade educativa e a educação através do contexto direto, possibilitaram um grande contributo no impulso desta conceção educativa da instituição museística. No âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino de Artes Visuais no 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, importou perceber o grau de conhecimentos sobre a temática expositiva do museu e a sua comunicação. Para isso aplicouse um estudo a partir de uma visita ao museu do vinho do Porto, com a finalidade de estabelecer uma relação entre o espaço físico do museu e os discentes. Considerando que esse espaço é objeto de comunicação, optou-se igualmente por se desenvolver um estudo sobre a sua comunicação visual. Nesse sentido, estudou-se a evolução e as várias transformações dos museus, assim como, a importância da educação neste contexto. Assim, a investigação teve como objetivo identificar e analisar o estudo do espaço museológico, declinando esses conteúdos num projeto museográfico, onde se abordou a comunicação do mesmo. A partir de um inquérito por questionário distribuído aos discentes antes do desenvolvimento do projeto, identificaram-se as lacunas relativamente aos conhecimentos presentes nos discentes relativamente à temática. De igual forma, importou perceber de que forma o museu pode servir de intermediário no contexto da disciplina de Educação Visual. Este estudo demonstrou que o espaço museu conseguiria ser um meio facilitador na aquisição de competências, partindo de uma articulação do ensino com estes lugares, numa apreciação estética e cultural.

Currently, it is fundamental to articulate the idea of culture as a liaison between the school and the museum. The new pedagogical trends, which focus on ideas such as educational community and education through direct context, enabled a great contribute to the impulse of this educational conception of the museistic institution. Under the Master in Visual Arts Teaching in the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, it was important to realize the level of knowledge about the museumʼs exhibition item and its communication. For this, it was implemented a study from a visit to the Port Wine Museum, in order to establish a relationship between the physical space of the museum and the students. Given that this space is communication object, a study about their visual communication was also chosen to be developed. Accordingly, it was studied the evolution and the various transformations of museums as well as the importance of education in this context. Thus, the research aimed to identify and analyze the study of museum space, declining those contents in a museographic project, where its communication was approached. From a survey by questionnaire distributed to students before the development of the project, it was possible to identify the studentsʼ actual shortcomings as far as their knowledge about the topic is concerned. Likewise, it was important to understand how the museum can be used as an intermediary within the context of Visual Education subject. This study demonstrated that the museum space could be a means facilitating the acquisition of skills, starting from an articulation of the teaching with these places, under an aesthetic and cultural appreciation.
