O turismo aventura no rio Paiva e o turismo rural em Arouca

Abstract

O presente relatório de projeto tem como objetivo verificar e averiguar se existe uma relação entre o turismo aventura no Rio Paiva e o turismo rural em Arouca. Inicia-se o relatório de projeto fazendo uma abordagem teórica, apoiada numa revisão bibliográfica, sobre o turismo, o sistema turístico, a procura e a oferta turística mas também o turismo rural, turismo natureza e turismo aventura. Carateriza-se o destino turístico Arouca e o Rio Paiva para enquadrar o local em estudo. A metodologia adotada foi a aplicação de um questionário às empresas de animação turística, unidades de alojamento e restauração. Os resultados obtidos sugerem que existe uma relação entre o turismo aventura e o turismo rural. Neste relatório de projeto conseguiu-se retirar várias contribuições para que o turismo em Arouca se desenvolva cada vez mais apostando na qualidade e num sistema turístico coeso e competitivo.

This project report aims to verify and whether there is a relationship between tourism adventure in Rio Paiva and rural tourism in Arouca. The project report starts by making a theoretical approach, supported on a bibliographic tourism, the tourism system, tourism demand and supply but also rural tourism, nature tourism and adventure tourism. In order to set the study’s context, the Arouca and Rio Paiva tourism destinations will be characterized. The methodology included a questionnaire to tourism companies, accommodation and catering units. The results suggest that there is a relationship between adventure tourism and rural tourism. In this project report we were able to suggest several contributions so that tourism is able to further develop in Arouca, focusing on quality and on a cohesive and competitive tourism system.
