O design do adorno contemporâneo: da tradição à inovação

Abstract

Esta dissertação visa estudar a existência de traços de permanência simbólica e identitária, em joalharia, incidindo sobre a cultura portuguesa do passado até às suas manifestações contemporâneas. Analisam-se as relações entre sujeito e adorno ao longo do tempo, observando os valores que perduram e/ou emergem como novos factores identitários na modelação da cultura portuguesa.

ABSTRACT: This dissertation is about the study of the existence of symbolic and identitary permanence, in jewellery, working on the Portuguese cultural identity of the past until contemporaneous demonstrations. The relations between the subject and the adornment, across the time, are taken into account, observing values that continue and/or surface as new factors of identity modeling the Portuguese culture.
