Rir (ou o que quiserem): o humor em Ilusão, de Luísa Costa Gomes

Abstract

Com a presente dissertação, visa-se, em primeira instância, analisar a expressão literária do humor, esclarecendo os conceitos que com ele surgem frequentemente correlacionados, designadamente a paródia, a sátira, a ironia e o cómico. Num segundo momento, esse quadro teórico permitirá examinar os processos de construção do humor no romance Ilusão (ou o que quiserem), de Luísa Costa Gomes. Serão destacados quer o diálogo da narrativa com os seus intertextos nucleares – as comédias As You Like It, de Shakespeare, e L’ Illusion Comique, de Corneille –, quer os seus vetores temáticos fundamentais, procurando demonstrar como em torno deles se agregam três registos humorísticos distintos mas complementares: a paródia, o pastiche e a sátira.

This dissertation aims to analyze the literary representation of humour by highlighting several concepts to which it is commonly associated, such as parody, satire, irony and comic. This theoretical framework will subsequently underlie the examination of the strategies of humour as used in the novel Ilusão (ou o que quiserem) by Luísa Costa Gomes. We will focus on both the dialogue between the novel and its main intertexts – Shakespeare’s As You Like It and Corneille’s L’ Illusion Comique – and on its the key-themes, so as to argue that three distinct but complementary registers of humour revolve around them: parody, pastiche and satire.
