This document describes work that has been accomplished in Deliverable 3.4. in WP3 of the LITES project (Grant agreement no. 238916). The LITES project was started in December 2009, and after prolongation its duration is 60 months (including 10 months suspension period). This Deliverable mainly refers to the tasks 3.3. and 3.4. of the Work Package 3, where the main objective is to set up a luminary configuration software technology for street lighting based on LEDs and using the latest functionalities like dimming during off - peak hours, association of motion sensors, temperature and energy, as well as networking with bi-directional transport of all the data between luminaires and the gateways or communication box, and management software collecting the data from the luminaires and set up of the rules for lighting. As the LEDs are controlled by curre nt provided by power supply unit, which gets signal from Control Unit, it is important to preset the luminaries initial settings and this Deliverable describes the luminaires software that enables to set - up parameters of each lamp that will enable LITES network to work both in decentralised mode and using gateway to get commands from the central management system. There are many parameters to be accounted for and solved where necessary and this also forms a lesser part of this Deliverable. The current model allows us to see the configuration from software through to LED actuation, and may be categorized into the elements, control software, wireless telecommunication (PSU and sensors), PWM Control, Power Supply Unit and LED luminaries.pt
