Os discursos museológicos : arte e públicos

Abstract

A temática da comunicação nos museus tem vindo a assumir uma maior importância fruto de variados factores, entre os quais se destacam o social ou, ainda, a dessacralização da arte. Esta dissertação tem por objecto de estudo a análise das interdependências das relações entre museus, arte e públicos, inserindo-se na temática da comunicação e dos circuitos museológicos. Aborda-se, por um lado, a questão da comunicação nos museus, tendo como contextualização o percurso de ambos, sobretudo, a partir do nascimento dos museus até à actualidade. Procura-se, por outro lado, traçar a trajectória da “democratização” da arte e detectar as diferenças da função comunicativa dos museus, de modo a caracterizar as suas transições (ideológicas, culturais, simbólicas, etc) e repercussões sobre a criação e a recepção artística. Analisa-se ainda uma situação real junto de interlocutores pertencentes à “comunidade museal”, de forma a confrontar a teoria com a prática.

ABSTRACT: Communication in the museums have assumed a wider importance due to multiple factors such as the social or, even, desacralization of art. The object of study in this thesis is the analysis of the interdependent relationship between museums, arts and public, that inserts itself in the theme of communication and the museum circuit. On the one hand, it approach the communication in the museums, having as contextualization the passage of both, over all, from the birth of the museums until the acutuality. Searching, on the other hand, to trace the trajectory of the “democratization” of the art and to detect the differences of the communication functions of the museums, in order to characterize its transitions (ideological, cultural, symbolic, etc) and repercussions that it had had on the creation and the artistic reception. It analyses also one real situation next to pertaining interlocutors to the “museum community” in order to confront theory with practical.
