Quantificação e numeração em português e mandarim : análise linguística e cultural

Abstract

No âmbito da linguística, esta dissertação propõe uma análise comparativa/contrastiva entre as línguas portuguesa e chinesa, que incide, por um lado, sobre o estudo gramatical dos “numerais” no quadro da quantificação linguística, e, por outro, sobre a cultura e pragmática dos “números” na vida quotidiana, sobretudo nas suas aplicações comunicacionais e simbólicas. O trabalho procura, em primeiro lugar, fornecer um enquadramento teórico da noção de quantificação e realizar um levantamento terminológico e gramatical da noção de “numeral” nas duas línguas (cardinais, ordinais, múltiplos, frações, etc.), identificando pontos de convergência e de divergência linguística. Procura, em segundo lugar, proceder ao levantamento comparativo das situações sociais e comunicacionais em que a prática da numeração é relevante (simbologia, numerologia, valores culturais, etc.), procurando identificar fenómenos de aculturação nessa área. A perspetiva contrastiva adotada levará por fim a algumas conclusões práticas na área do ensino de Português e Mandarim a alunos estrangeiros.

In the context of linguistics, this dissertation proposes a comparative/contrastive analysis between Portuguese and Chinese languages, which will focus, on the one hand, on the grammar study of "numerals" in the context of linguistic quantification and, on the other, on culture and Pragmatic approach to "numbers" in everyday life, especially in their communicative and symbolic applications. The work will seek, firstly, to provide a theoretical framework of the notion of quantification and to carry out a terminological and grammatical survey of the notion of "numeral" in the two languages (cardinal, ordinal, multiple, fractions, etc.), identifying points of convergence and Of linguistic divergence. It will seek, secondly, to carry out a comparative survey of social and communicational situations in which the practice of numbering is relevant (symbology, numerology, cultural values, etc.), trying to identify phenomena of acculturation in this area. The contrastive perspective adopted will eventually lead to some practical conclusions in the area of teaching Portuguese and Mandarin to foreign students.
