A comunicação escolar na web 2.0 - uma análise de websites escolares

Abstract

Nesta dissertação, é analisada a evolução tecnológica na área da educação, desde a publicação do Livro Verde para a Sociedade da Informação em Portugal, em particular o desenvolvimento vertiginoso das tecnologias associadas à web. Destacam-se as potencialidades dos serviços web 2.0 e tecnologias mobile, no contexto educativo, como ferramentas capazes de criar novos canais de comunicação. As características colaborativas destes novos recursos de informação e comunicação são essenciais na construção da rede digital de conhecimento, através do estabelecimento de ligações entre os seus utilizadores. Neste contexto, os utilizadores deixam de ser meros consumidores de informação e passam a ser construtores ativos do seu conhecimento. As políticas portuguesas na área da educação contribuíram para o desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação no nosso país, o que pode ser comprovado através dos exemplos de boas práticas identificadas neste estudo. Com base nos dados recolhidos, através de um estudo realizado a uma amostra de websites escolares, é possível propor novos recursos de informação e comunicação a implementar nos websites das instituições de ensino analisadas. Conclui-se que, apesar das políticas tecnológicas no domínio da educação terem incentivado a criação de websites, os mesmos ainda não usufruem de todas as potencialidades inerentes aos novos recursos de informação e comunicação.

This dissertation will analyze the technological evolution in education, following the publication of the Green Book for the Information Society in Portugal, namely the vertiginous development of the technologies related to the web. The potential of the web 2.0 services and mobile technologies will be highlighted, within the educational context, as tools that can create new communication channels. The collaboration characteristics of these new information and communication resources are vital in the construction of the digital network expertise through the links among its users. In this context, the users are no longer mere consumers of information; they become active builders of their own knowledge. The recent Portuguese education policies have boosted the development of the information society, which will be shown by examples of good practices provided in this study. Based on data collected by a study carried out on a sample of school websites, it is possible to suggest the development of new information and communication resources in the observed schools. A conclusion can be drawn: although the websites were created and supported by the technological policies in education they still lack the inherent possibilities of the new information and communication resources.
