medida. The present work deals with an anomaly verified in the geographic distribution of the Social Integration Benefit’s (RSI) beneficiaries’,in Portugal: the percentage of RSI’s beneficiaries in Porto is more than the double of the percentage verified in Lisbon. A compared analysis of a range of RSI data and demographic, economic and social indicators of the two regions is presented in this project, in order to find possible justifications for this potential anomaly. Possible justifications are connected with unemployment, procedural practices, family issues and different enrolment rates to the RSI. |
