In the last decades the transmission rates and the number of wireless users increased very fast. that the developments imposed the sharing of the spectrum and also the necessity to improve the QoS. Characterizing the radio channel in time, amplitude, frequency and space is important to obtain increasing data rates from the existing spectrum without increasing bandwidths and radiated power. The objective of this project is to create a model that represents and characterizes the radio channel to know the angle of arrival, the delay and also the obstacles that causes the multipath. To achieve this, high resolution algorithms are used for the estimation of the parameters and also clustering techniques. In the first part of this project, synthetic data were generated, to simulate the radio channel to determine the functioning of the clustering validity index. Immediately afterwards, information obtained from the real measurements were used with clustering techniques. It was represented as graphics to do a statistical and visual analysis. Finally the multipath components measured in different environments can be classified. As last step, a complete study about the delay and the azimuth was done to parameterize a model. |
