Brasileiros da Universidade de Aveiro: integração e representações

Abstract

Com a presente dissertação, estudamos o perfil, a integração e as representações sociais dos alunos brasileiros, atualmente matriculados na Universidade de Aveiro. Através da síntese sobre as migrações entre o Brasil e Portugal, verificamos as Leis e Acordos que possibilitam o processo internacional de cooperação para programas de mobilidade estudantil, a fim de compreender o papel social dos mesmos. Buscamos esclarecer a forma como facilitam e estimulam a integração na vida estudantil e o desenvolvimento pessoal e social dos alunos brasileiros. Observamos a operacionalização e os motivos que abrangem esses programas, os incentivos e parcerias celebrados entre o Brasil e Portugal, bem como as questões relacionadas com os espaços abertos internacionais no campo da Educação. Concomitantemente, queremos analisar as facilidades e dificuldades de natureza socioculturais que envolvem as relações intergrupais desses alunos. Todavia, num estudo desta índole, refletimos sobre as problemáticas da multiculturalidade e da interculturalidade no sistema educativo universitário português, com especial atenção ao que se passa na Universidade de Aveiro, observando-se a verdadeira aproximação e incorporação de valores, crenças e cultura dos alunos brasileiros.

The present dissertation studies the profile of Brazilian students currently enrolled at the University of Aveiro, analyzing their level of integration and their social representation. By starting summarizing the history of the migration between Brazil and Portugal, we verify the laws and agreements in order to understand the international cooperation process of the students mobility programs; the aim is to examine their social role, as well as the way how they facilitated and encouraged the social and personal development of the lives of the Brazilian students. We evaluate the implementation of this exchanging program and its reasons, considering the partnerships signed by Brazil and Portugal, relating the issues with the international open spaces in the education field. Concurrently, we analyze the facilities and the socio-cultural difficulties of the intergroup relations, which involve these students. However, in this kind of study, we must reflect about the problematic of the multiculturalism and interculturalism in the Portuguese university education system, with particularly focus on the University of Aveiro. Finally, we observe the real approach and incorporation of values, beliefs and culture of the Brazilian students.
