Do objecto ao sujeito: uma estética do indivíduo?

Abstract

A evolução na arte conduziu à necessidade de novos pensamentos sobre as abordagens estéticas. Se inicialmente o foco do estudo era o objecto, com Marcel Duchamp e todas as correntes conceptualistas e minimalistas que se seguiram, o conceito tornou-se o elemento fundamental do processo artístico. No século XXI, com a arte contemporânea focada na relação entre arte e tecnologia e no desenvolvimento de obras que visam uma maior interacção entre objecto e sujeito, torna-se necessário desenvolver novos pensamentos que se ajustem a um novo modelo de público: participação, envolvimento, acção. Assim, este artigo explora a possibilidade de uma Estética do Indivíduo, ou Estética do Sujeito, desenvolvida a partir dos conceitos já existentes e que exploram a mesma temática.

The developments in art led to the need for new thinking on aesthetic approaches. If initially the focus of the study was the subject, with Marcel Duchamp and all the conceptual and minimalist movements, the concept has become the key element of the artistic process. In the 21st Century, with contemporary art focused on the relationship between art and technology and the development of works to achieve greater interaction between subject and object, it is necessary to develop new ideas that fit a new model of public: participation, involvement, action. Therefore, this article explores the possibility of an Aesthetics of the Individual, or Aesthetics of the Subject, developed from existing concepts that explore the same theme.
