Abstract: | A televisão faz parte do quotidiano das famílias portuguesas, nomeadamente
das crianças. Assim, o estudo da programação televisiva para os públicos
infanto-juvenis torna-se pertinente na medida em que a televisão é um dos
media mais poderosos presentes na vida das crianças e, por isso, interfere, a
seu modo, no processo da sua socialização.
A dissertação que se apresenta, subordinada ao título “A programação SIC K e
promoção de culturas de género”, tem por finalidade dar um contributo para o
estudo sobre as culturas de género veiculadas através da programação
televisiva do único canal português especializado para o público infanto-juvenil,
o SIC K.
Deste modo, dois grupos de objectivos foram definidos, uns relativos à
programação: identificar os conteúdos, duração, quantidade, géneros, horários
e audiências da programação do SIC K dirigidos aos meninos e às meninas. E
outros relativos à filosofia e às orientações dos responsáveis pelo canal
temático do SIC K.
O enquadramento teórico que suporta o estudo realizado situa-se no campo
das ciências e tecnologias da comunicação e das culturas de género. De entre
os diversos autores de referência sublinham-se os trabalhos e as perspectivas
em torno da programação televisiva direccionada para os públicos infanto-
-juvenis, nomeadamente, Manuel Pinto, Sara Pereira, Conceição Lopes, Ema
Sofia Leitão, Pedro Boucherie Mendes, Pedro Bessa e Adriano Duarte
Rodrigues.
A metodologia seguida foi a de estudo de caso e a recolha de dados ocorreu
no período de Setembro de 2011, de modo a responder à questão haverá ou
não programas, no SIC K, especialmente dirigidos a meninos e meninas?
A promoção de culturas de género realizada pelo canal temático da SIC, o SIC
K é o foco desta dissertação. The television is part of Portuguese families everyday’s life, specially children. Studying the children and juvenile television programming is very important, because the TV is the most powerful media, therefore it pokes with the socialization process of children. The Study is called “SIC K programming and their promotion of cultures of gender” and it has the goal of showing the contribution of SIC K for the cultural of gender. SIC K is a Portuguese unique channel for the children and young teenagers. Therefore two sets of goals were chosen. One related to the programming specific for boys and girls (identifying contents, timing, amount, genres, schedule and the hearing). And the other the philosophy and orientations of the board of the channel. The Framework that supports the study in the fields of Science and Technology for the Communication and the Cultures on Genres was based in the works and perspectives about the television programming for children and young teenagers from the following authors, Manuel Pinto, Sara Pereira, Conceição Lopes, Ema Sofia Leitão, Pedro Boucherie Mendes, Pedro Bessa and Adriano Duarte Rodrigues. The methodology chosen for this study and the collection of data was held on September 2011 is the response to the question whether or not SICK programs are particularly aimed for girls and boys? The focus of this dissertation is the promotion of cultures of gender by SIC K channel. |
