Video arte: uma abordagem da arte contemporânea no ensino artístico

Abstract

A Arte Contemporânea abordada em contexto escolar propícia diversas aprendizagens no ensino artístico: promove “o olhar do aluno” e tem a capacidade de gerar discussões, num confronto de ideias que só podem contribuir para a cultura e senso estético, sendo uma realidade mais próxima no tempo e no espaço para a grande maioria dos alunos. Assim, poderão explorar nos seus trabalhos questões existenciais, sociais, políticas, ou as relações formais e estruturais das suas pesquisas poéticas e das suas formas de inserção, dentro ou fora do circuito artístico. Propomos com esta investigação, refletir sobre aspetos ligados à docência em estudos artísticos. Vamos tomar como referência um projeto desenvolvido no ensino secundário, na Escola Secundária Alves Martins em Viseu. Vamos partir inicialmente do conteúdo programático da disciplina de História da Cultura e das Artes e na disciplina de Oficina de Multimédia B. Neste sentido, a proposta de trabalho visa desenvolver a educação do olhar através do ensino da Arte Contemporânea, ao utilizar a linguagem do Vídeo Arte como instrumento pedagógico. A importância está em repensar o ensino da arte no contexto do ensino secundário, avaliando os contextos da produção contemporânea e sua relação intima com a formação de conceitos sobre o mundo no qual habitamos.

Contemporary art, as it is studied in the school context, different learning contexts in arts education, promotes "the look of the student" and has the ability to generate discussions, a clash of ideas that may contribute to the culture and aesthetic sense, being a closer reality in time and space for most of the students. Thus, in their works, they can explore existential, social, political, or formal issues as well as structural relationships of their poetical research and of their forms of integration within or outside the art circuit. With this investigation, we propose to describe an experience in teaching art studies at Alves Martins Secondary School, in Viseu, starting with the curriculum of History and Culture the Arts (História da Cultura e das Artes) and following in the subsequent year, with the Media Workshop B ( Oficina de Multimédia B). In this sense, the proposed work aimed to develop education of the look through the teaching of Contemporary Art, using the language of Video Art as an educational tool. Its importance lies in rethinking the teaching of art in the context of secondary education, assessing the contexts of contemporary art production and its intimate relationship with the formation of concepts about the world we live in.
