Construção modular - desenvolvimento da ideia: casa numa caixa

Abstract

O objectivo deste trabalho é desenvolver um sistema construtivo inovador/modular, que partindo do conceito "flat-pack" para comercialização de mobiliário, permita disponibilizar uma casa modular que possa ser vendida e transportada num contentor. O objectivo consiste em dimensionar os elementos estruturais, as suas ligações, sistema de cobertura e sistema de fachada. Será também necessário que o sistema seja de montagem fácil, inclusivamente por mão-de-obra pouco qualificada (tipo bricolage: DIY - Do it yourself). Para tal foi modelada e estudada uma estrutura metálica que fosse montável pelo dono de obra. Estudaram-se diversas disposições estruturais possíveis e as suas implicações no custo final da estrutura. Em função da estrutura principal, foram dimensionados e pormenorizados os elementos de fachada, piso e cobertura. Estudouse também as diversas opções a utilizar nos revestimentos e isolamentos.

The aim of this work is to develop an innovative/modular building system, inspired in the “flat-pack” concept for furniture commercialization from which a modular home should be developed and able to be sold and transported in a container. The objective is to design the structural elements, their connections, the roof and facade systems. The building system should be of easy assemble even by non skilled labor, like a do it yourself solution. To this was modeled and studied a metal frame structure that was able to be easily mountable by the house owner. There have been studied several possible structural arrangements and their implications in the final cost of the structure. Accordingly to the main structure, elements of the facade, floor and roof were scaled and detailed. Various options to be used in coatings and insulation were also studied.
