Violência social e familiar nos contos de Marçal Aquino

Abstract

O presente trabalho pretende ser uma breve reflexão sobre os contos de Marçal Aquino. Em narrativas curtas, Marçal Aquino transporta para a ficção a violência da vida real e confere-lhe uma dimensão literária. Através das colectâneas de contos, Famílias terrivelmente felizes e O amor e outros objetos pontiagudos, em que o tema da violência é recorrente, vislumbram-se relações familiares e sociais conturbadas de personagens que se movem no submundo marginal onde coabitam sentimentos tão distintos como a vingança, o ódio e o amor que, ora sublime, ora cruel «pode ser a mais eficiente das armas quando se deseja ferir» (Aquino: 2003). Merece-nos uma atenta reflexão o realismo das histórias contadas que, por se assemelharem à realidade ou às páginas policiais, se poderiam confundir com elas. A mulher brasileira comum parece assumir um papel secundário, quer na família, quer na sociedade. Esta sistemática e “consentida” reificação do papel da mulher reflectir-se-á na célula familiar e na sociedade, potenciando a violência de modo directo ou indirecto.

This work intends to be a brief reflection on the stories of Marçal Aquino. In short narratives, Marçal Aquino transports the violence of real life to fiction and gives it a literary dimension. Through the collections of stories, Famílas terrivelmente felizes and O amor e outros objetos pontiagudos, in which the subject of the violence is recurrent, you have glimpses of troubled familiar and social relations of characters who move in the marginal underworld where different feelings live together, feelings as different as revenge, hatred and love that either sublime or cruel «can be the most efficient of the guns when you want to hurt» (Aquino: 2003). The realism of the stories told deserves an attentive reflection as because of their similarity to reality or to the police pages, they might be mistaken for them. The common Brazilian woman seems to assume a subordinate role, whether in the family or in society. This systematic and "allowed" reification of the role of the woman will be reflected in the familiar cell and in society, promoting violence, direct or indirectly.
