A influência dos clarinetistas no desenvolvimento do clarinete e do seu repertório

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se avaliar a influência que os clarinetistas tiveram no desenvolvimento do clarinete e do seu repertório. A dissertação é composta por uma apresentação dos principais momentos do desenvolvimento do clarinete, por uma abordagem de relações importantes entre compositores e clarinetistas, durante os séculos XVIII e XIX, e pela análise das relações dos compositores, do século XX, com o clarinete. Deste estudo conclui-se que os clarinetistas estiveram sempre envolvidos activamente nos processos de desenvolvimento do instrumento e do seu repertório.

The present work set out to study the influence of clarinettists in the development of the clarinet and its repertoire. This thesis includes a discussion of the most important events in the development of the clarinet, an approach to some important relationships between composers and clarinettists during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and the manner in which composers related to the instrument in the twentieth century. The author concludes that the clarinettists have always been actively involved in the process of the development of the clarinet and its repertoire.
