A imigração em Portugal: o desafio da legalização

Abstract

O presente relatório surge no âmbito do estágio curricular realizado no SEF de Aveiro. Ao longo do texto serão salientados aspectos importantes da aprendizagem obtida na instituição, para além de focalizar a importância do SEF na sociedade actual. Nas últimas décadas derivado das constantes mudanças ocorridas nos fluxos migratórios em Portugal, destacamos as várias alterações que ocorreram a nível jurídico referente aos imigrantes. O desenvolvimento de uma política imigratória mais restritiva conduziu ao cenário inevitável da imigração ilegal. Um dos factores a ter em conta no combate a esta situação é o papel do Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF).

The present report appears in the scope of the carried through curricular period of training in the SEF of Aveiro. Throughout the text important aspects of the learning gotten in the institution will be pointed out, stop beyond focusing the importance of the SEF in the current society. In the last few decades derived from the constant occured changes in the migratory flows in Portugal, we detach the some alterations that had occurred the referring legal level to the immigrants. The development of one more restrictive immigratory politics lead to the inevitable scene of illegal immigration. One of the factors to have in account in the combat to this situation is the paper of the Service of Foreigners and Borders (SEF).
