Abstract: Our objective is to use Fraunhofer's exemplary case to propose questions related with the Nature of Science (NOS) and its relationship with technology in initial teacher education. An analysis of Fraunhofer's six-lamp experiment is made, highlighting relevant aspects of the socio-historical context and of the experimental model. At last, this exemplary case is a proposal for the practice of science teacher´s educators, who, through the use of History of Science and Technology, can bring to the classroom questions about the nature of science and enlarge the technology concept in future teachers.
