dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to analyze the evolution and transition from the traditional editorial design to a new digital interactive design (paper free) applied to the news industry. This involves identifying new methodological approaches that can turn the activity of reading a digital newspaper into a communitarian, collaborative, intuitive, ludic and entertaining experience, that any one can easily adapt to, including the info-excluded, minimizing the impact of change from the analogical to the digital medium. This project was based on the development of a service design and the creation of an interactive table, News Coffee Table 2010 (NCT’10), which offers reading of digital newspapers in coffeehouses, while promoting knowledge sharing and reading activities in collaborative environments. The object of study referenced in this project is Jornal de Notícias, the most-read newspaper in the north of Portugal, whose audience and consumer behaviour is in compliance with the profile determined for this project: medium-low income levels, low technological qualifications in using digital technologies and habitual readers of newspapers supplied to the community in public locations, mostly in coffeehouses. | por |
