The presented investigation aims to understand if the entrepreneurial mindset predicts success, viewing the entrepreneur as a Being who lives and acts in dynamic and uncertain environments. External factors, such as environmental contexts and external forces, present an influence on the achievement of the entrepreneur’s success. However, it is the individual's own internal characteristics that prove to be at the heart of this achievement. The present work was developed on the basis of a mixed methodology, using primary data, through interviews and questionnaires, and secondary data, through a content analysis. The achieved results validated the proposed research hypotheses, indicating entrepreneurial mindset as a predictor of success. This mindset is mainly characterized by an ability of identifying and acting on opportunities, by an orientation towards growth based on adaptation capacities, by a constant search for personal development and by a high metacognitive awareness. The characteristic of perseverance in the face of rejections and negative events also proved to be highly significant in our sample. This research additionally found that entrepreneurial goals are connected to one's own entrepreneurial motivations, considering that the definition of success is related to individual goals. |
