Resolução de conflitos entre as crianças no jardim de infância

Abstract

O presente relatório visa apresentar um trabalho desenvolvido ao longo da prática Pedagógica Supervisionada, do Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º CEB, da Universidade de Aveiro, durante o ano letivo de 2016-2017. Neste trabalho pretendeu-se compreender as situações de resolução de conflitos entre as crianças, em particular em situações de brincar ou em outras atividades livres, num contexto de jardim de infância. Em situações livres, como o brincar, frequentemente, o educador tenta evitar o surgimento dos conflitos quer intervindo rapidamente na sua resolução, quer realizando atividades dirigidas. Considerando que os conflitos são inerentes à condição humana, num contexto educativo é fundamental entendê-los como uma oportunidade para trabalhar valores e regras sociais. Neste âmbito, considerámos pertinente analisar os conflitos que ocorrem entre as crianças durante o brincar e noutras atividades livres, percebendo as estratégias adotadas na sua resolução e qual o papel do adulto nesse processo, de modo a favorecer o desenvolvimento e a autonomia da criança. A partir de um conjunto de situações observadas, envolvendo 6 crianças do grupo, foi possível categorizar a nossa análise considerando: o local onde o conflito surge, a situação de conflito, forma como é vivido o conflito, a quem recorre a criança para a resolução do conflito, atitude do adulto e como é resolvida a situação. Terminamos este relatório, identificando limitações do estudo e apontando a sua importância para o nosso próprio desenvolvimento profissional.

With this dissertation we mean to show a work developed in the Supervised Pedagogic Practice, in the master of Kindergarten Teaching and 1st CEB Teaching in Universidade de Aveiro during the school year 2016-2017. We intend to understand the solving conflict situations between children, particularly in playing context or in other free activities in a kindergarten environment. In situations when children play freely, it is common for the teacher to try to avoid the beginning of conflict situations whether by quickly intervening in its resolution or by creating controlled activities. Bearing in mind that conflicts are part of the human condition, in an educational context it becomes fundamental to see them as an opportunity to work values and social rules. Thus, it is pertinent to analyze the conflicts that happen between children not only when they are playing but also in other free activities by understanding the adopted strategies in the resolutions as well as what the adult role is in the process in a way that we can help the children’s development and autonomy. Beginning with a certain number of situations which involved 6 children from a group, we were able to divide our analysis into different aspects considering: where the conflict happens, the conflict situation, the way the children behave during the conflict, whose help is requested, the adult attitude and how the situation is solved. We finish this dissertation by identifying the study limitations as well as its importance to our own professional development.
