MoveIt!.
CAMBADA@Home is a multidisciplinary project in intelligent robotics that aims to develop an autonomous robot capable of navigating and executing assistance and service activities in the home environment. A pair of arms with grippers provide the robot with the ability to manipulate objects. This dissertation has as general objective the continuation of the development of the anthropomorphic robotic arm for the CAMBADA@Home robot, based on work carried out previously. The objectives are to analyze the existing version of the arm, to develop a realistic simulation environment for the arm and to design and develop the arm control software. The ROS environment was used to develop the systems. The simulation environment used was the ROS-Gazebo and the arm was duly modeled in the URDF language, suitable for that environment. ros control libraries were used to control the arm in the simulated and real environments, and the trajectories were generated using the features of MoveIt! software. The proposed objectives were achieved. It was concluded that the existing mechanical structure of the arm is adequate, requiring only minor changes in order to eliminate or reduce some slack. The developed simulation environment proved to be su ciently realistic, allowing to visualize and validate the generation and execution of trajectories, even in the presence of restrictions to the movement of the arm. Regarding the real arm, the generation and execution of trajectories was also validated, although the conclusions in the manipulation of objects points to the need to replace the claw with a more suitable one. |
