Eco-design e mobiliário: projeto e desenvolvimento de mobiliário infanto-juvenil reconfigurável

Abstract

No contexto de um design ecológico e para a sustentabilidade pretende-se projetar mobiliário infanto-juvenil reconfigurável. A adaptação do mobiliário tem como príncipio o ecodesign, evitando que o ciclo de vida dos produtos seja curto, combatendo a escassez de recursos e beneficiando também os seus utilizadores economicamente. A sustentabilidade deverá estar implícita nos materiais aplicados, aliando-se ao bem estar e conforto que o mobiliário deverá conferir ao utilizador. A faixa etária alargada exige uma constante adaptação do mobiliário tanto pelo acentuado crescimento físico até à adolescência, como pelo desenvolvimento cognitivo e social específicos. O desenvolvimento foi abordado através do Método de Piaget, que estabelece as necessidades em cada fase de crescimento. Paralelamente foi feita uma revisão bibliográfica sobre sustentabilidade e do estado de arte dos produtos existentes neste panorama, auxiliando a compreensão dos aspetos fulcrais a ter em consideração no desenvolvimento de projeto. Recorreu-se a um desenvolvimento projetual metódico, definindose os parâmetros essenciais para a criação da linha de mobiliário. O projeto culminou na criação de uma linha de mobiliário: uma cama, secretária e mesa de cabeceira, passíveis de reconfigurar ao longo do crescimento. Focado no panorama português são propostos móveis de quarto que simplifiquem e contribuam para um desenvolvimento saudável tanto a nível físico como cognitivo da criança atendendo às suas necessidades nas diferentes idades.

In the context of ecological design and sustainability, it is intended to design reconfigurable infant-juvenile furniture. The adaptation of the furniture has as main the ecodesign, preventing the life cycle of the products from being short, combating resource shortages and also benefiting its users economically. Sustainability should be implicit in the materials applied, combining with the well-being and comfort that the furniture should give the user. The extended age group requires a constant adaptation of the furniture both by the sharp physical growth until adolescence, as well as specific cognitive and social development. The development was studied through the Piaget Method, which establishes the needs in each phase of growth. At the same time, a bibliographic review was made on the sustainability and state of art of existing products in this panorama, helping the understanding of key aspects to be taken into account in the development of the project. Methodical project development was used, defining the essential parameters for the creation of the furniture line.. The project culminated in the creation of a furniture line: a bed, desk and bedside table, able to reconfigure throughout the growth. Focused on the portuguese panorama are proposed room furniture that simplifies and contributes to healthy development both on physical and cognitive levels of the child, attending to their needs at different ages.
