Construção e reabilitação de pavimentos rodoviários: relatório de estágio curricular

Abstract

Tendo em conta que a rede rodoviária nacional já está praticamente concluída e que a situação económica do país não é a mais favorável, a realização de novos trabalhos rodoviários é quase uma impossibilidade; pelo que, atualmente, o mais importante é a conservação e a reabilitação dos pavimentos rodoviários existentes. O presente trabalho consiste no relatório de estágio realizado durante o atual ano letivo, de forma a obter o grau de Mestre em Engenharia Civil. Este estágio realizou-se na Universidade de Aveiro em parceria com a Câmara Municipal de Aveiro, num período de nove meses, tendo como principal objetivo o acompanhamento da construção e reabilitação de pavimentos rodoviários. Para tal, utilizaram-se ferramentas práticas e teóricas de diversas disciplinas da Engenharia Civil, com especial ênfase nos ensaios de caraterização dos materiais de construção envolvidos e no acompanhamento da execução da empreitada, com vista à verificação do cumprimento das características dos materiais e dos métodos de aplicação em obra. O que permitiu colaborar nas tarefas propostas pela Câmara Municipal de Aveiro e pelo orientador do estágio. Com este estágio foi possível adquirir novos conhecimentos relacionados com pavimentos rodoviários e perceber como se processa uma obra pública.

Considering that the national road network is almost completed and the country’s economic situation isn’t the most favorable, new road works are almost impossible. Therefore, the most important is the conservation and rehabilitation of existing roads pavements. The present work consists of the traineeship report made during the current school year, in order to obtain the degree of Master’s in Civil Engineering. This traineeship was held at the University of Aveiro in partnership with the Aveiro City Council, over a period of nine months, with the main objective of monitoring the construction and rehabilitation of road pavements. To this end, practical and theorical tools from several Civil Engineering disciplines were used, with special emphasis on the characterization test of materials involved and on the monitoring of the execution of the contract, in order to verify the fulfillment of the characteristics of the materials and the application methods on-site. This allowed the collaboration in the tasks proposed by the Aveiro City Council and the traineeship advisor. With this traineeship it was possible to acquire new knowledge related to road pavements and to understand how a public work is processed.
