A etiqueta à mesa na China e em Portugal

Abstract

Nesta dissertação, vou fazer um estudo comparativo da etiqueta à mesa em Portugal e na China, focando-me nos hábitos alimentares e nos comportamentos à mesa, nos utensílios usados, na posição dos lugares, na ordem dos pratos e na forma de os apresentar, não esquecendo os habituais brindes. Como demonstraremos, as principais diferenças resultam de contextos culturais diferentes.

In this dissertation, I will examine a comparative research of table etiquette in Portugal and China, focusing on the dietary habits, the table behaviors, the utensils used, the sitting etiquettes, the food service etiquettes, and the toasting rules. As will be demonstrated, the main difference between China and Portugal in rules of table etiquette is a result of their different cultural contexts.
