The stroke (AVC) is the third major cause of death at industrialized countries, the main cause of morbidity, disability and invalidity in Europe and the main death cause in Portugal. A stroke victim patient suffers physical, cognitive and psychological consequences, that let him unable to realize even the simplest daily tasks. The physiotherapy rehabilitation reveals itself insufficient for a full and effective recovery and, its continuation in the domiciliary context could become repetitive, monotonous and demotivating for the patients, leading sometimes to withdrawals. Allying to the traditional physiotherapy, it becomes relevant to study other rehab methods that could make it more appealing. In this study is proposed a solution to support the rehab of stroke victims through the audio-visual. Giving a special importance to physiotherapy in a domestic environment and focused on the patient daily activities, the audio-visual is a way of bringing together the world of new technologies where we live, an attempt to motivate the stroke victims to get the full recovery and independence. Thus, it was concluded that some audiovisual technical characteristics helps the product to a better adaptation to the public, making it accessible, easy to understand and appealing, of which are highlighted: a motivational language, a simple guide with clear language, an image without visual noise, well lit, neutral colours, a noiseless sound and the use of various forms of message transmission. |
