Title: Improved downstream processing of recombinant proteins using aqueous twophase systems composed of ionic Liquids
Author: Pedro, Augusto
Issue Date: 2019
Abstract: Previous studies have shown that ionic liquids display highly interesting features concerning protein stabilization, and by properly tailoring their anion/cation pairs, increased selectivity towards the target protein can be achieved in IL-ATPS. Process intensification and scale-up of IL-ATPS for the purification of recombinant proteins can be achieved by centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC), in which the stationary phase is also liquid and kept by centrifugal force.
