Aprender português na China

Abstract

A presente dissertação apresenta os resultados dos estudos realizados sobre a aprendizagem da Língua Portuguesa na China Continental , tendo como base o estudo sobre o caso do Curso de Licenciatura em Língua e Cultura Portuguesas da Universidade de Estudos Internacionais de Xangai. Trata-se de jovens chineses estudantes universitários que, antes de entrar no Curso, não tiveram nenhum conhecimento prévio sobre o Português. Serão abordados vários aspectos como: o ensino do Português nas universidades, as motivações pelas quais os alunos escolhem o curso de Português, as prováveis saídas profissionais, e sobretudo as principais dificuldades que tais alunos encontram durante a aprendizagem, etc., com o objectivo de propor um ensino da Língua e Cultura Portuguesas mais adequado e eficaz aos aprendentes oriundos da China tendo em conta que a língua materna e a cultura distam das dos portugueses.

ABSTRACT: This thesis relates to the study of Portuguese in China, and is based specifically on the case of the Bachelor’s Degree in Portuguese Language and Culture at the University of International Studies in Shanghai, where Chinese students had no knowledge at all of Portuguese before entering the university. This thesis will deal with various topics such as: the teaching of Portuguese in the university, the reason why students choose to learn Portuguese, as well as possible career opportunities. Particular emphasis will be given to the primary difficulties the students encounter during their studies. Finally this thesis aims to present some suggestions for a more appropriate and effective teaching method for Chinese students, whose mother tongue and culture greatly differ from that of Portugal.
