A edição em Portugal e os autores chineses : aspectos da receptividade

Abstract

Esta dissertação propõe-se verificar até que ponto as editoras portuguesas estão receptivas à publicação de obras escritas por autores chineses, analisar os motivos que conduzem a essa maior ou menor receptividade e fazer uma previsão da evolução que a edição de obras de autores chineses registará no futuro, em Portugal. A metodologia adoptada consiste na realização de inquéritos por questionário e de entrevistas dirigidos às editoras, a fim de recolher informações para o desenvolvimento do tema. O presente trabalho aborda ainda outros pontos de destaque, como a análise global dos pontos fortes, fracos, das oportunidades e das ameaças do mercado editorial português, os hábitos de literacia que se verificam em Portugal e as relações entre Portugal e a China. A pertinência deste trabalho advém do estudo de uma área sobre a qual ainda não são conhecidos dados, que é a receptividade das editoras portuguesas aos autores chineses.

ABSTRACT: This dissertation aims at examining to what extent the portuguese publishers are receptive to the edition of books written by chinese authors. For this matter, the reasons of a higher or a lower degree in that receptivity will be analysed and the possible evolution of such editions in Portugal. The methodological procedure is based on questionnaires and interviews addressed to the publishers in order to gather data for the development of this subject. This work also approaches other significant topics such as a global analysis of the strenghts, the weaknesses, the opportunities and the treaths of the portuguese editorial market, the reading habits of the portuguese and the relations between Portugal and China. The importance of this work is due to the fact that it does a survey in an area in which there is not much known information yet, which is the receptivity of the chinese writers by the portuguese publishers.
