ABSTRACT: This Dissertation aims at examining rape in different texts, in the context of Postcolonialism and Feminism, namely in the books The Rape of Shavi, By Buchi Emecheta, The Rape of Sita, by Lindsey Collen, and Changes: A Love Story, by Ama Ata Aidoo. Although these analyse the theme in different contexts and depth, the three offer rape as a metaphor for the colonial encounter. | por |
