Sobre as técnicas de ampliação e omissão na tradução de Português para Chinês: relatório de tradução do conto Um homem célebre

Abstract

Esta dissertação representa um relatório de tradução que visa estudar e analisar algumas técnicas de tradução, através da prática de tradução do conto Um Homem Célebre. O trabalho encontra-se distribuído em três capítulos, além da Introdução e Conclusão, os que incidem em: a) Apresentação do enquadramento teórico e justificação da escolha da terminologia e da obra literária em questão; b) Apresentação e análise dos procedimentos de ampliação (adição de palavras) e omissão (redução de palavras), frequentemente utilizados na tradução de línguas estrangeiras para a língua chinesa; c) Exemplificação pormenorizada da utilização desses procedimentos na tradução da obra selecionada;. Conclusão, em que será elaborado um resumo das experiências resultantes da nossa prática da tradução da obra selecionada, cuja versão integral em chinês ficará como apêndice do trabalho. Esperamos que o nosso trabalho sirva de referência para todos os que se interessem pelo tema.

This dissertation is a translation report that aims to study and analyze some translation techniques, through the practice of translating the short story "Um homem célebre". The work is divided into three chapters, besides Introduction and Conclusion, which focus on: a) Presentation, which refers to the theoretical framework and justification of the choice of the literary work in question; b) Presentation and analysis of the methods of enlargement (addition of words) and omission (reduction of words), frequently used in translating from foreign languages into Chinese; c) Detailed examples of the use of these methods in the translation of the selected work; Conclusion, which will summarize experiences resulting from our translation practice of the selected work, whose full version in Chinese will be appended to the work. We hope that our work will serve as a reference for those who are interested in the subject.
