conceção e implementação do novo Currículo do ESG.
Cooperação e Desenvolvimento análogos ao Falar Português This study, which is part of studies on Cooperation and Development and is located at the intersection of epistemological and analytical perspectives covering the areas of curricular development, didactics and teaching of Portuguese as Second Language (L2)/ Foreign Language (FL), aims at analysing the repercussions and (re)configurations of the Project “Speaking Portuguese” – Curriculum Restructuring of the General Secondary Education (ESG) in East Timor, based on research carried out by Project team members from 2010 to 2018. To this end, we developed a qualitative study which, focusing on a "case study" – the Project “Speaking Portuguese” – gave rise, in a first phase, to a systematic review of the literature on the evolution of the Timorese educational system, in general, and on the curricular restructuring processes carried out, in particular, and, in a second phase, comprised the definition and analysis of a corpus composed by the scientific production produced by team members of the abovementioned Project on the processes of design and implementation of the new ESG Curriculum. At the intersection of these two processes, we sought to evaluate the relevance of the main repercussions of the Project in terms of research, teacher training and dissemination of scientific knowledge, as well as to analyse the relevance of the analyses carried out by members of the Project team concerning the design and implementation of the ESG Curriculum in East Timor, particularly with regard to teaching and learning issues of Portuguese as L2. The results show: i) the existence of notable repercussions in terms of scientific research on and dissemination of the ESG Curriculum Restructuring, mostly as a result of the involvement of several team members of the Project “Speaking Portuguese” both in in-service teacher training and research & development projects; ii) a set of key areas to be considered in a possible reconfiguration of the ESG Curriculum; iii) priority areas for intervention in terms of the Curriculum implementation conditions; iv) clues as to the definition of models for the design and operationalization of future Cooperation and Development projects analogous to the “Speaking Portuguese” one |
