lacuna do ensino-aprendizagem do ISCED (Uíge), o presente estudo
taxon (Sphaerostephanos unitus (L.) Holtt.) é registo novo para Angola,
incluídos em 12 géneros e 7 famílias. The Teaching of Botany, using plant identification tools such as field guides, is one of the shortcomings in terms of teaching and learning and one of the objectives to be achieved in the Program of the Discipline of Higher Plants of the Degree in Teaching of Biology of ISCED (Uíge). In order to fill this gap in teaching and learning of ISCED (Uíge), the present study consisted in the elaboration of contents for an illustrated field guide of ferns and related plants, familiarizing students, teachers, researchers and other public with these plants, in particular with those occurring naturally in the Uíge region. The starting point was the collection of biological material, followed by herborization of the specimens, mounting and identification of the same. For the elaboration of the labels, we used the BRAHMS database, a tool that allowed the storage and management of the data of the botanical collections. Dichotomous keys (for genera and species), illustrated descriptive sheets, illustrated life cycle (field guide) and checklist of the ferns and related plants of the Uíge region were also elaborated. As a result of this study, 61 specimens were collected. Of these, it was only possible to identify 55 specimens (corresponding 90.16%), resulting in 19 taxa, belonging to 15 genera and 9 families and 2 taxa not harvested but that are mentioned in the region based on bibliographical records. Of these, 16 (84.21%) are new records for the region of Uíge and 1 (Sphaerostephanos unitus (L.) Holtt.) is a new record for Angola, included in 12 genera and 7 families. |
