Cidadãs do mundo: viagem independente e processos de subjetivação no feminino

Abstract

Este estudo apresenta a viagem independente sob o olhar das especificidades do género feminino, e busca identificar quais os elementos que influenciam a motivação e a performance de um grupo de mulheres brasileiras em viagens independentes ao exterior. A análise de quinze entrevistas realizadas em profundidade com as viajantes, fez emergir um conjunto vasto de temas transversais como género, ócio humanista e processos de subjetivação. Os depoimentos das viajantes confirmam situações de preconceito, limitação, assédio e constrangimento vividas em suas jornadas. O que significa dizer que as performances dessas viajantes ganham visibilidade e agregam valores nas esferas pública e privada. Esse movimento pode resultar numa subtil transformação de padrões estabelecidos, ao romper limites, desconstruir preconceitos de género e contribuir para o empoderamento da mulher enquanto sujeito de direitos. A viagem independente assume um papel metafórico nesta investigação e nos convida a repensar as relações humanas. Finalmente, o estudo pretende sensibilizar o leitor para os desafios que envolvem as questões de género que, por sua vez, são capazes de expandir as possibilidades dos processos de subjetivação no feminino.

This study presents the independent journey under the look of the specificities of the female gender and seeks to identify the elements that influence the motivation and performance of a group of Brazilian women on independent trips abroad. The analysis of fifteen interviews carried out in depth with the travelers, made emerge a vast set of cross-cutting themes such as gender, humanistic leisure and processes of subjectivation. The testimonies of the travelers confirm situations of prejudice, limitation, harassment and embarrassment experienced in their journeys. What it means to say that the performances of these travelers gain visibility and add values in the public and private spheres. This movement may result in a subtle transformation of established patterns, by breaking limits, deconstructing gender biases and contributing to the empowerment of women as a subject of rights. Independent travel assumes a metaphorical role in this investigation and invites us to rethink human relations. Finally, the study intends to sensitize the reader to the challenges that involve the gender issues, which, in turn, are able to expand the possibilities of the processes of subjectivation in the feminine.
