Estes
In the present work, we studied the effects of the UV radiation exposure time and of the aging of the refractive index of hybrid organic-inorganic di-ureasil thin films (d-U(600)). These were modified by using different concentrations of zirconium tetrapropoxide (Zr(OPrn)4) and were estabilized with methacrylic acid (McOH). These thin films were synthesized using the sol-gel process and deposited by spin coating. The results obtained show that by changing the concentration of Zr(OPrn)4 (20%, 40% and 60% molar percentages) and the UV radiation exposure time, we can to control the refractive index of these materials, which varies linearly with these two factors. The most stable planar waveguides were the samples d-UZ60 exposed to UV radiation with an energy of 17.4 J.cm-2 and, d-UZ20 and d-UZ60 with an energy of 34,8 J.cm-2, aged at 65 ºC. |
