Estudo comparativo do uso de preposições em provérbios portugueses e chineses

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se, do ponto de vista comparativo, estudar o uso de preposições em provérbios portugueses e chineses. No primeiro capítulo, procede-se à descrição das principais características das preposições em Português e Chinês e dos provérbios portugueses e chineses. No segundo capítulo, dedicado à metodologia de investigação adotada, faz-se, primeiramente, uma breve descrição do trabalho de recolha do corpus linguístico em cuja análise se baseia este estudo. Depois, aborda-se a problemática da tradução, em particular, da tradução entre Chinês e Português, através de uma reflexão sobre os diferentes métodos usados (tradução direita ou idêntica; tradução equivalente ou parafraseável; tradução reconhecível e tradução de espaço vazio ou intraduzível). O objetivo desta reflexão é apurar qual o método mais utilizado e representativo no que à tradução interlingual de preposições em provérbios portugueses e chineses diz respeito. No terceiro capítulo, procede-se a uma análise comparativa do emprego de certas preposições em provérbios selecionados, identificando as que surgem com mais frequência e indicando as correspondências regulares e particulares entre as duas línguas.

The present work proposes, from the comparative point of view, to study the use of prepositions in Portuguese and Chinese proverbs. In the first chapter, one proceeds to the description of the main characteristics of the prepositions in Portuguese and Chinese and of the Portuguese and Chinese proverbs. In the second chapter, dedicated to the research methodology adopted, a brief description of the work of collecting the linguistic corpus on the basis of which this study is based is first given. Afterwards, the problem of the translation, in particular, of the translation between Chinese and Portuguese, through a reflection on the different methods used (literal or identical translation, equivalent or paraphrase translation, recognizable translation and translation of empty or untranslatable space). The purpose of this reflection is to determine which is the most used and representative method in which the interlingual translation of prepositions in Portuguese and Chinese proverbs relates. In the third chapter, a comparative analysis is made of the use of certain prepositions in selected proverbs, identifying those that arise most frequently and indicating the regular and particular correspondences between two languages.
