Title: Simple receiver for systems with spectrally overlapping narrowband and broadband signals
Author: Gameiro, A.
Issue Date: 2002
Abstract: Fixed wireless systems represent an attractive alternative to provide broadband access to the home. However since radio spectrum is scarce and expensive an efficient usage of it is required. To reach this goal, we propose the transmission of narrowband services using part of the frequency band assigned to a broadband one. The feasibility of this proposal is based on the cyclostationary nature of the information bearing digital signals. A simple receiver that allows the coexistence these two kinds of signals is proposed, and its performance analyzed. The results show that a high interference rejection capability is achieved for the narrowband signals.
