The presented project was conducted in the company “OLI-Sistemas Sanitários, S.A.”, and took place in the finished products warehouse. It is directly related with the storage and expedition processes. The main goal of this project was to improve the storage of material, and consequently, the process of loading trucks. This process was mapped through the notation BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to characterize its initial state and the aspects on which it was possible to act. It was concluded that it was a problematic process. In order to identify the main causes of the problem, the Ishikawa diagram was used, a quality tool, to enable the elimination of the root causes of the problem. To achieve results, various improvement actions were proposed and applied, using Lean Thinking methodologies, such as visual management and the 5S methodology. The implemented improvements include the creation of locations and the identification of the material with its own label. As a result, a better organization of the warehouse is visible, and consequently shorter times of truck loading, justified by the fact that the process is more efficient. |
