Arte xávega, alterações climáticas e a comunidade piscatória de Espinho

Abstract

Este trabalho utiliza o documentário científico na comunicação das questões ambientais e valorização das comunidades piscatórias tradicionais (pesca artesanal e de subsistência). O documentário “Arte Xávega e a Ecologia dos Saberes” centra-se nas questões da Arte Xávega e nos desafios que estas comunidades piscatórias enfrentam (alterações climáticas, poluição marinha, destruição de habitats marinhos e costeiros e exploração não sustentável dos biorrecursos, nomeadamente pesqueiros), centrando-se na Comunidade de Espinho (Norte de Portugal). A realização do documentário “Arte Xávega e a Ecologia dos Saberes” é concetualizado e desenvolvido com base num trabalho e metodologia de investigação qualitativa (observação não participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas), valorizando os conhecimentos tradicionais e locais e assumindo uma dimensão etnobiológica e etnoecológica.

This work uses the scientific documentary in the communication of environmental issues and appreciation of traditional fishing communities (artisanal and subsistence fishing). The documentary "The Art of Xávega and the Ecology of Knowledge" focuses on the issues of Xávega Art and the challenges these fishing communities face (climate change, marine pollution, destruction of marine and coastal habitats and unsustainable exploitation of bio-resources, notably fishing), concentrating on the Espinho Community (Northern Portugal). The realization of the documentary "The Art of Xávega and the Ecology of Knowledge" is analyzed and developed based on a qualitative research work and methodology (non-participant observation and semi structured interviews), valuing traditional and local knowledge and assuming an ethno-biological dimension.
