O jogo e a diversidade linguística e cultural na educação pré-escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório visa cumprir os requisitos necessários para a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. No âmbito do mesmo apresentamos o projeto de intervenção e de investigação desenvolvido no âmbito da Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada e no qual analisamos, a questão da importância da sensibilização à diversidade linguística e cultural em articulação com o jogo, junto de crianças em idade Pré-Escolar. Este projeto de SDLC foi desenvolvido em díade sendo que cada elemento aprofundou um aspeto específico. Portanto um dos elementos focouse na dimensão cultural e no desenvolvimento da educação intercultural e nós direcionamos a nossa atenção para a dimensão linguística e na construção de uma consciência fonológica plurilingue, e, por essa via, no desenvolvimento da cultura linguística das crianças através do jogo. Este projeto foi realizado com um grupo de crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 3 e os 6 anos, que participaram num projeto de sensibilização à diversidade linguística e cultural, intitulado “Viagem pelo mundo do jogo da Macaca”. O projeto é constituído por catorze sessões e segue a metodologia de trabalho por projeto. Este estudo trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa do tipo investigação-ação, baseando-se no desenvolvimento de um projeto realizado com um grupo de um Jardim de Infância, que procurou articular a abordagem da sensibilização à diversidade linguística e cultural com o jogo enquanto estratégia pedagógicodidático. Após a análise e interpretação dos resultados recolhidos através da observação direta e das videogravações concluímos que ao dar às crianças a possibilidade de contactarem com línguas diferentes da sua, possibilitando que estas identifiquem palavras que não fazem parte do seu repertório, que estabeleçam comparações interlinguísticas e encontrem semelhanças e diferenças entre línguas diferentes, conseguimos promover o desenvolvimento do seu repertório linguístico e por sua vez, o desenvolvimento da consciência fonológica plurilingue e a construção de uma cultura linguística. No que diz respeito ao jogo, este é um ótimo recurso para promover várias competências, nomeadamente, por se tratar de um meio estimulante e motivante, levando as crianças a explorar novas palavras e novos aspetos culturais. Estes resultados evidenciam as potencialidades da educação para a diversidade, assente nas abordagens plurais na educação de infância, nomeadamente, as SDLC, através do jogo, contribuindo assim para a formação de crianças preparadas para viver em sociedades cada vez mais multilingues e multiculturais.

This report has the purpose to fulfill the requirements nedeed to obtain the Master's Degree in Preschool Education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education. In this context, we present the project of intervention and research developed in the area of Supervised Pedagogical Practice, and in which we analyze the issue of the importance of awarness to linguistic and cultural diversity in articulation with games, near children of preschool age. This SDLC project was developed in partnership, as so each element has deepened a specific aspect. Therefore one of the elements focused on the cultural dimension and the development of the intercultural education and we headed our attention on the linguistic dimension and in the construction of a multilingual phonological awareness, and, by these means, on the development of children's linguistic culture through the game. The project was accomplished with a children’s group between the ages of 3 and 6, who participated in a project to raise awareness to the linguistic and cultural diversity, entitled "Journey through the Game World of Macaca". The project consists in fourteen sessions and follows the methodology of work by project. This study is a qualitative investigation of the action-research type, based on the development of a project carried out with a Kindergarten group, which searched to articulate the approach of awareness to linguistic and cultural diversity with the game as a pedagogical-didactic strategy. After the interpretation and analysis of the obtained results through direct observation and video recordings we conclude that by giving children the possibility of contacting with languages other than their own, allowing them to identify words that are not part of their repertoire, to establish interlinguistic comparisons and to find similarities and differences between different languages, we are able to promote the development of their linguistic repertoire and, on the other hand, the conscious development of plurilingual phonological and the construction of a linguistic culture. Concerning to the game, this is a great resource to promote several skills, namely, because it is a stimulating and motivating mean, leading children to explore new words and new cultural aspects. These results highlight the potentials of diversity education, based on plural approaches in early childhood education, namely, the SDLC, through the game, as so contributing to the children's education prepared to live in increasingly more multilingual and multicultural societies
