Internacionalização de PME em África e na América Latina: uma perspectiva comparativa

Abstract

Atualmente, a internacionalização é uma das estratégias mais utilizadas para fazer frente à globalização e a mercados cada vez mais competitivos. As Pequenas e Médias Empresas (PME) são caraterizadas por uma grande capacidade de adaptação no que respeita à mudança económica e social. Posto isto, no presente trabalho explora-se o tema internacionalização, abordando especificamente a temática pequenas e médias empresas (PME) no contexto Africano e Latino-americano. O objetivo é portanto, através de uma revisão bibliográfica identificar e sintetizar os diversos estudos que abordam o tema internacionalização de PME em África e na América Latina, avaliando criticamente os resultados, a partir de uma perspetiva comparativa entre estes dois mercados em desenvolvimento. O trabalho final é uma mais - valia para a literatura pois apresenta a síntese da evidência cient ífica publicada até à data sob a alçada deste tema.

Nowadays, internationalization is one of the main strategies used to face globalization and the increasingly competitive markets. Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) are characterized by a great adaptability to economic and social changes. Subsequently, this work explores the theme of internationalization, specifically the small and medium enterprises (SME) thematic in African and Latin American context. The purpose is therefore, through a literature review, identify and synthesize the several studies that approach to the SME internationalization matter in the African and Latin America context, and critically evaluate the results by comparing these two developing markets. The final work is a benefit for the literature hence it represents a synthesis of the scientific evidences published to date concerning this topic scope.
