Vozes íntimas e olhares pessoais: sobre a focalização interna na literatura juvenil portuguesa e brasileira

Abstract

Pretende-se, com este estudo, refletir sobre as implicações da opção por narradores de primeira pessoa e pela focalização interna em romances juvenis das literaturas portuguesa e brasileira contemporâneas. A partir da identificação de um corpus representativo da ficção realista das duas literaturas, procede-se à respetiva análise. A perspetiva e o ponto de vista das personagens adolescentes parecem funcionar como um filtro especial para os contextos circundantes, além de promover a identificação dos leitores preferenciais com as narrativas.

In this study, it’s our purpose to reflect on the implications of the narration in first person, using an internal focalization, in young adult novels published in the last few decades in Portugal and in Brazil. Starting with the identification of a representative corpus of realist fiction of the two literatures, we intend to analyze the narrator function. The narration perspective and the use of teenage characters to tell the stories seems to work as a special filter to understand the surrounding contexts, and to promote the identification of the teenage readers with the narratives.
