Análise do manual de Português do 10º ano do Ensino Secundário Geral de Timor-Leste

Abstract

Esta dissertação pretende descrever e analisar o Manual de Português usado em Timor-Leste no 10.º ano do Ensino Secundário Geral. Procede ao enquadramento desse manual nas políticas educativas e linguísticas levadas a cabo em Timor-Leste desde a independência, com especial incidência nas do IV Governo Constitucional, cujas reformas conduziram à reestruturação completa do sistema de ensino secundário geral, no âmbito de um projeto de cooperação internacional levado a cabo com Portugal, nomeadamente com a Universidade de Aveiro, a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e o IPAD – Instituto Português de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento. Tendo em conta o contexto timorense, o Manual de Português é analisado à luz do programa e do plano curricular em vigor, tendo em conta as competências linguísticas e comunicativas dos alunos e professores, não esquecendo também as limitações existentes, quer ao nível de infraestruturas, quer de recursos humanos e materiais.

This dissertation aims to describe and analyse a textbook used in Timor-Leste to teach Portuguese language in the 10th year of general secondary education. The framework of this study is related with the educational and linguistic policies carried out in East Timor since the independence, with special emphasis on those of the IV Constitutional Government. The educational reforms in the country led to a complete restructuring of the general secondary education system, within the framework of a cooperation project carried out with Portugal, namely with the University of Aveiro, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and IPAD – Portuguese Institute of Support to Development. Taking into account the East Timorese context, the textbook is analysed in the light of the current curriculum and syllabus, taking into account the linguistic and communicative skills of students and teachers, but not forgetting the existing limitations, both in terms of infrastructures and human and material resources.
