The purpose of this work stands with the optimization of the operation conditions in the manufacturing of colorants. This work shows the initial conditions of the production, as well as the current conditions effected by the improvements that were implemented and the study that was executed. There were identified and tested key variables in different conditions: the liquid flow of the operation, formulation readjustment, the paste colorant processes in different mills, the impacts that waiting times have between steps and the utilization of refrigerated tanks. It was analyzed the impact of these variables posteriorly. The process of grinding the paste colorants is currently controlled with significant improvements, approved by the global quality indicator (first run yield), having, with that, an increase of 13%, in regards to last year. It was verified that the grinding process time had a considerable reduction, of about 18%, in one of the most critical paste colorants (FFFFF BBBB), which translate to large monetary and operational gains. This way the project assigned was a success since the objectives were fulfilled in the established time. |
