Aplicação de guiões nas aulas de ciências naturais: uma abordagem CTS

Abstract

O processo de ensino e de aprendizagem tem sido alvo de vários estudos com o intuito de formar alunos cada vez mais ativos na sociedade atual. Deste modo é importante ter em conta as diferentes abordagens de ensino em sala de aula para tornar o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem mais simples. Neste trabalho é descrita a aplicação da abordagem Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade (CTS), as suas implicações na aprendizagem e as opiniões dos alunos participantes das quatro turmas, sendo uma turma do 7.º e três turmas do 9.º ano do 3.º ciclo do ensino básico. Este trabalho teve como finalidade analisar de que modo a aplicação de guiões facilita uma abordagem CTS e como pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento das aprendizagens dos alunos nas aulas de Ciências Naturais. O Guião é um documento orientador do processo de ensino e de aprendizagem que integra uma sequência de lecionação onde apresenta um conjunto de propostas de atividades que os alunos têm que desenvolver ao longo de uma determinada temática. No presente estudo foram utilizadas informações de algumas técnicas e instrumentos de recolha de dados, nomeadamente a observação que foi realizada durante toda a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES), a análise documental feita a alguns trabalhos que os alunos realizaram e a inquirição feita através de um questionário constituído por perguntas fechadas e abertas. Concluiu-se através desta investigação que: - Os alunos conseguiram identificar que os guiões estavam estruturados segundo a abordagem CTS; - Os guiões foram uma mais valia para o desenvolvimento das aprendizagens dos alunos (concetual, procedimental e atitudinal); - A maioria dos alunos afirma que gostaria de continuar a trabalhar com guiões.

The teaching and learning process has been the subject of several studies in order to train students to be increasingly more active in today's society. Therefore, it is important to take into account the different approaches of teaching in the classroom to make the teaching and learning process simpler. On this work is described the application of the Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach, its implications on learning and the opinions of the participating students of the four classes, one of 7th and three of 9th year of the 3rd cycle of basic education. This work aimed to analyze how the application of activity guidelines facilitates a STS approach and how it can contribute to the development of student learnings in the classes of Natural Sciences. The activity guidelines are a guiding document of the teaching and learning process that integrates a teaching sequence where it presents a set of proposals of activities that the students have to develop along a certain theme. On the present study, information about some techniques and data collection instruments were used, namely the observation that was carried out throughout the Supervised Teaching Practice, the documentary analysis done in some of the works that the students performed and the inquiry consisting of closed and open questions. It was concluded through this investigation that: - The students were able to identify that the activity guidelines were structured according to the STS approach; - The activity guidelines were an added value for the development of student learnings (conceptual, procedural and attitudinal); - Most students affirm they would like to continue working with activity guidelines.
